Music: Rawmance (La Beauté Du Négatif)
(Archive material + footage shot with various technologies that enhance the presence of the pixel: from IR, to thermal photography, and old digital cameras)
Although techno music is made by synthetic sounds, we can deeply relate to it. Through rhythm and rumbling bass, we become aware that the body itself is a biological machine. The experience is almost contemplative.
By the end of the video, the texture becomes prominent, and the descriptive leaves place to the digital noise and the enlarged pixel. The pixel is never static, it is moving and tingling inside the frame because it is shot through time, and it follows the music in a seeming electronic dance.
